Functionly, a new technology developed right here in Moore is among a series of projects being backed by the Morrison Government to commercialise and grow.
Mr Goodenough said Functionly will receive $598,232 in funding from the Entrepreneurs’ Programme, to further develop a novel intelligent org-chart, scenario planning and work design software tool for organisations large and small.
“This is a great example of the bold-thinking happening right here in Moore that has the potential to take on the world,” Mr Goodenough said.
“Ideas like this are going to be crucial to helping Australia chart a course out the other side of the COVID pandemic, to grow the economy and create local jobs.”
“The grant will enable us to continue our momentum, so we can bring a tool to market sooner which we know will help organisations to navigate change in uncertain times using real-time org design and a growing template library,” said Tim Brewer, co-founder and CEO of Functionly.
All up 21 projects around Australia are sharing in more than $10 million.
Minister for Industry, Science and Technology Karen Andrews said they are perfect examples of the dynamic business thinking we need to drive Australia’s COVID-19 economic recovery.
“This is Aussie ingenuity at its best - solving real world problems while driving economic growth and creating jobs,” Minister Andrews said.
“The Morrison Government is proud to invest in Australia’s problem solvers, so they can commercialise ideas, take on disrupted world markets and drive our economic recovery.”
Since the launch of the Accelerating Commercialisation grants in 2014, 477 grants worth almost $230 million have been offered to Australian businesses.
